Choose from 2 different printing styles.

  • Summary style – Which prints transactions in summary mode

Tire Estimator

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

One of the many powerful tools inside of Tire Power software’s point-of-sale is the “Tire Estimator” tool.  This feature allows you to quickly and easily give a customer who is either on the phone or in front of you a “4 and out the door” price on tires.  From here you can create a quote, work order or invoice in one simple step by using one of the buttons at the bottom left of the window. Depending on what type of business you are (retail vs. wholesale for example) there are different ways you will want to setup the “Tire Estimator” to work for you. There are several options to consider when setting this tool up. For example the default price class, tax group and package which will be used.

For the wholesale tire locations who don’t normally install tires, they can simply use a blank package and a wholesale specific tax group which includes any delivery fees or fuel surcharges, but eliminates the state and local taxes. For the retail tire and automotive service shop, you can have custom packages built for each unique scenario your salespeople may come across. For example, you could have a package with a road hazard plan built in, and one without. This way you could easily tell a customer the “out the door” difference in the two options. “Tire Estimator” is just another one of the tools built into Tire Power with the flexibility to conform to your business rather than forcing you to completely change your business to utilize the tool.

Don’t delay in fixing errors

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Our Tire Power software has tremendous reporting capabilities and hopefully you are taking advantage of those features.  Remember, after running the reports and financial statements, it is very important to examine them for any discrepancies.  If you have any questions about how the numbers are calculated, or think the numbers don’t correlate with some of your other figures, give us a call. If errors were made during the day, week or month, it’s easier to fix them sooner rather than later.  The longer errors go without being addressed, the more potential to cause further and sometimes bigger problems. Remember, your TCS Support Team is here to help!

Use Tire Power Software to See the Big Picture

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Most business owners are great at casting a vision or seeing the big picture. This is a great asset to their company as it gives their employees direction and motivation. So how does Tire Power Software play into the big picture? Or maybe a better question is, how do you get to the big picture? The answer…one report at a time.  Many Tire Power Software customers have yet to realize the full potential of the software. I have talked with several customers recently who have said, the more they use the software, the more they find it will do for them.  They feel it will enable them to be more efficient and improve their bottom line.

So what are these tools inside of Tire Power Software? Let me just cover one for now (only because it is a BIG one). Tire Power has a vast and extensive reporting system. Let’s take the ‘Accounting’ tab for example; there are currently 28 reports on that single tab. Almost all of these reports have filters which allow the user to customize these reports. For example, the ‘Daily Sales Breakdown’ report can be filtered by 12 different parent categories, ranging from customer category, detail type, mechanic, to transaction type.  From there each parent category can have anywhere from 2 – 50+ additional child filters. Whether you want to take a closer look at which service is being sold the most, or for how much, or you want to track the quantity of Cooper ® tires a particular salesperson sold, Tire Power Software has a report which will work for you. And remember, you can use multiple filters on each report for truly customized results.

One last note, unlike most software, in Tire Power you can run any report for any day and as many times throughout the day as you want without effecting numbers. So feel free to start playing with the reports and improve your bottom line.
